ST MONICA SODALITY

NEW DAY and TIME to pray to St. Monica for intercession for our wayward family members: Every 4th Friday in the Church following the 8am Mass.

St. Monica is the patron saint of mothers. For 30 years she prayed for her family and her husband converted to Catholicism. For 17 of those years, she also prayed for St. Augustine and he returned to the Catholic faith. If not for her tearful prayers and intercessions, we would not have his teachings and writings that influenced the church in the Middle Ages. Prayer is powerful; "For where two or more are gathered I am there among them." Matt 18:20. If you have loved ones in your heart that need to find their way back to the church; come add your prayers to ours and together we will pray the Chaplet of St. Monica. If you can't be here on the 4th Friday, you can find a St. Monica group at: St. Patrick Brighton, 2nd Saturday after the 8a Mass and 3rd Monday after the 8:30a Mass; St. Mary Magdalen Brighton, 1st and 3rd Mondays 7-8p; St Joseph South Lyon, 1st Tuesday after the 7p Mass. There is group prayer for St. Monica's intercession every week at one of these parishes! If you have any questions, please contact Karen Maddick through the Parish Office 810-231-9199 x200.

Couple Prayer

Bob and Kathy Ovies created the "Together with Jesus Couple Prayer Series" at the request of numerous couples in various Detroit area churches who asked for their help in learning how they, too, could safely and supportively begin to pray together as a couple in ways that would let them experience a deeper love for God and a deeper love and supportive care for one another. The Couple Prayer Series is now helping Christian couples pray together more closely, comfortably and consistently in the U.S., Canada, England, Guam, Mexico, Somoa, Kenya, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Ireland.

Your being able to pray together as a couple in safe and loving ways is a hope God surely shares with you for your marriage. If that's where you want your marriage to be, the Couple Prayer Series can absolutely help you get there.  https://www.coupleprayer.com/

PAST PARTICIPANT TESTIMONIES

"Words cannot convey the impact this series has had on our relationship and in our lives.  At a time when there just didn't seem to be anything connecting us with one another, God brought us to couple prayer as a gift to reunite us more deeply than ever in our 36 years together.  Thank you for making this possible.”

“I really only continued with this series because my wife asked me to, and, I must admit, it was with reluctance.  But by the sixth week I felt closer to God and to my wife and my children than I've ever felt before.”

"We are so thankful for the Couple Prayer Series.  It really got us to a deeper level in our marriage.  Every aspect of our lives has improved. Neither one of us has ever been happier in our whole lives."

“The examples of how to pray are priceless.  We would never have known where to even start on our own.”
